Fire and Air - the King and the Knight

The friendship between the King of Wands and the Knight of Swords is special. They are buddies with similar goals but different methods and energies when it comes to action. Both are loud and bold, making for fun dinner parties or a night out on the town. And when it comes to a serious problem, you want both of these powerhouses in your corner helping you to fight your battles.

Many months ago, I came across a hidden portal in my home that had not been closed during all of the demon extracting and clearings. It was created in the 1960’s and designed to be obscure and hard to recognize. From time to time I discover portals in the attic, but this one was in the corner of our guestroom and some lower-astral beings were popping in and out, roaming the halls at night and causing a disturbance.

So when I sat and asked for guidance regarding this situation that needed facing, I pulled the Knight of Swords and knew it meant swift and immediate action. And when I pulled a card after I conquered the obstacle to see what energy I embodied during this act, I pulled the King of Wands and it really honed in on the energy I pulled forward.

The King of Wands doesn’t need to ask anyone for permission to act, and he certainly doesn’t need external validation. The King of Wands just KNOWS and TRUSTS in himself and the results of his powerful actions.

The King of Wands Tarot Card from Salvador Dali

The King of Wands is full of fiery passion and embodied action. He is a leader, an authority, and someone whose confidence exudes his full being. This King stands firmly in his power, and in this state there is also an ease about him, a relaxed energy because he knows that he is in control and unshakeable. So unfaltering is this King that his energy is surrounded by divine protection. The King of Wand never flinches. He is brave and undaunting.

On the other end of this, we have the Knight of Swords. The Knight of Swords bears no hesitation. The Knight takes swift action, not a moment’s hesitation to be found. Charging forward, he acts NOW and not later after he has had time to ruminate. No, The Knight of Swords knows what needs to be done and takes care of it. Quickly

The Knight of Swords also exudes confidence and bravery. The difference is that the Knight has a plan, a strategy that he formulates as he dives in. His actions are not driven by fiery passion but rather by a code of honor and integrity. A knowledge that something needs taking care of and needs it to happen now. The Knights of Swords knows that his interceding will bring about great transformation. Grounded by Earth and Animals, and driven by Air, this Knight moves with a quickness that is clean and calculated. Crisp and to the point, the Knight of Swords takes over and leaves no mess in the aftermath.

What a beautiful friendship, right? The knight of logic and air teaming up with the king of passion and fire. And things get DONE

Perhaps you are wondering, but what about crystals? Surely there is a crystal in this endeavor that matches well with this duo? Well, of course!

I was called to a beautiful, sparkly piece of Ruby Fuchsite that I was gifted last year by a lovely woman who owns an amazing crystal shop that I always enjoy visiting. Her spirit team told her to give it to me on my way out.

When I do spirit work, I tend to work often with crystals and different colors of light. So I worked with the spirit of Ruby Fuchsite, a sparkly green flame and an even sparklier red-pink flame for a powerful experience. The portal was closed quickly, and sealed with no problems from that issue since. I have found in my work that I call on Ruby Fuchsite for assistance with portals regularly.

Just like the Knight of Swords and King of Wands, Ruby Fuchsite steps in when no one else will take the job. She gets to the heart of the matter and works well at clearing, protecting and creating new energies from the old. When it comes to emotional healing, call on her spirit to support your heart space as you dredge up old traumas to purge so you can make space for the new.

When I connected to Ruby Fuchsite’s spirit, she spoke of the rhythm of our souls, how following that rhythm, that flow that comes from your soul, leads you in the right direction. This rhythm helps you to take action and follow your passions. She spoke of how necessary it is to drop into our bodies, into alignment with our higher self. And our voice - we are encouraged to share more freely, more loudly and more boldly. Spend more time in the stillness so you can connect to your flow

The next time you need to take some fast and furious action in a situation, call on the energy of the King of Wands and the Knight of Swords. Let their fearless determination inspire you. And don’t forget the tenacity and sparkly nature of our friend, Ruby Fuchsite.
